Porifera are sea sponges most of which are filter feeders that use the oceans current to push water in and out of them. They filter the water and take all the particles and send the water back out the top of the sponge. Sponges are actually alive and most people just think they are a plant. Porifera are alive but do not move around because they lack muscles such as legs and fins.
